Baked Penne


  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3/4 cup spaghetti sauce
  • 3/4 cup brown gravy
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. rosemary
  • 12 oz. cooked penne pasta
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese


Cook the pork with pressed garlic in olive oil. Add everything else except mozzarella and pasta. Cook on medium heat for 10 minutes. Mix in cooked pasta and pour into a baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.

Hmm. I never quite see the appeal of all the different types of pasta when spaghetti is always so much easier.

Also at first glance I thought you had cloves in your recipe which would have been... interesting. But no, it was cloves of garlic. That makes more sense

Does spaghetti have cream in it? I didn't think so. Besides Karen had way too much fun helping. She pounded the spices in my mortar. "Smoosh, smoosh, smoosh!"
